Syngery: A Global Peace Current

syn-er-gy [sin-er-jee] (from the Greek meaning “to work together”)

1. : the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements, contributions, etc.
2. : a mutually advantageous conjunction or compatibility of distinct business participants or elements (as resources or efforts)

Building Peace with those who are similar is often a cake-walk compared to building and crafting Peace with those who are different. Our Synergy program works with numerous other Peace-Building organizations across the world (in various fields and disciplines) in order to give people the tools they need for Peace-Building with those they call the “Other.”

With programs for Leadership Development, Conflict Resolution, Interfaith and Intrafaith Dialogue, Pro-Active Communication and Listening Skills, Non-Violent Communication, Artistic Expression, Online Community Building, and Engaging Fundamentalism, we are eager to help people develop skills and training that will serve them in their engagement with the wider world.

At Empowering Peace, we believe that everyone has a right to be heard, and we emphasize that embracing Diversity gives us both strength and momentum to face our most challenging conflicts.
